This illustration by rubyetc was one of the artworks depicting buildings that I first found strangely moving. When she posted it on Tumblr last year, part of the caption was, "Houses are really relaxing to draw, so I drew some more." There is comfort in the repetition and essential sameness of these urban puzzle pieces. I assume the sketch below was a precursor to the one above.
