Eco-Friendly Cleaning Solution For Tiles

Tiles old and new

Nic McPhee: "Medieval tiles at Winchester Cathedral (UK) and some modern replacements." I imagine that you'd want to be extra careful when cleaning those tiles, so I don't know what method would be best. But modern bathrooms can be treated with home remedies, so to speak. Recipe via Creeklife on Tumblr (via GeorgieGirl Charlotte on Google Plus):
  • 6 cups water
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dish soap
Mix the ingredients, fill a spray bottle with the liquid, spray your tiles, and then scrub. Once the surface has been scrubbed, wipe it off with a clean cloth, and then admire your results! Compared to store-bought alternatives, this solution is cheaper, greener, and safer for children/pets. (I wrote the text for Creeklife, so I don't feel bad about mostly copy-pasting it.)
