The City Never Looked So Bright
The semi-abstract, mauve-heavy cityscape print on this tunic made by Sanae Ishida seems to be in the same vein as rubyetc's high-rise illustrations. It also reminds me of the infamous opening credits of Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest:
Speaking of Hitchcock, I want to know who had the audacity to name a shower curtain after the director of Psycho.
And yes, I hate myself for using a Macklemore reference as the title.

Sanae sews such beautiful clothes. She is so talented. I agree, the sixties mod movement is definitely evident in both pieces.
ReplyDeleteAnd she's so prolific! It's inspiring :)
